I am Sue McKay, a professional sports photographer and writer based in Adelaide, South Australia.
What seems like a lifetime ago, I completed my Cert IV in Photography. Those skills remain despite a hiatus spanning 20 years where I put down the camera to pursue an executive career. It was a time enriched with international travel, working in London, exploring pursuits in advertising, media, marketing, administration and governance, and running my company Kick It To Me Enterprises which I formed in 2009 and operate to this day. In 2014 I returned to my calling, picking up a photographic camera and teaching myself all things digital.
These days I use my 30+ years of photography, communication, marketing and media experience to my clients’ advantage, to understand their brief; the desired end result; and the value proposition that underpins it all. In a nutshell, I get the “why”. Along with intuition, a critical eye, and super-fast response times, my knowledge kicks in to provide clients with professional photographs tailored for the creative and narrative content that meets their strategic and marketing objectives.
